From a young age my grandmother made it her mission to pass on her love and passion for cooking. Growing up in the South, you could easily say that I am no stranger when it comes to Southern Comfort Foods and as always; sweet tea for the main beverage. Sadly, in October of 2014, my closest friend and mentor in life passed away. Over the years, I have continued pursuing my own passion for cooking. I moved to New Orleans, where I started reviewing restaurants, learned new cuisines and began prepping for a Dedication Cookbook in honor of my grandmother.
Now, here in the beautiful State of Kansas, I have started on yet another cookbook in which this blog is based. Allow me to be the first to welcome you to CookingfromtheHeart!
